Introducing EC Power!

We are proud to be representing EC Power.

Leading Edge Technology for Tailor-Made Power

The highly developed components, pioneering design, and patented real-time modulation of the XRGI® units supply the power and control you need with three main components: The Power Unit, Q-Heat Distributor, and the iQ Control Panel.

  • The combustion engine of the Power Unit has been specially developed for EC POWER by Toyota with an extremely long life and is silent and reliable.

  • The Q-Heat Distributor makes the necessary connection between the XRGI® plant and heat network.

  • The brain of the plant is the iQ Control Panel, which controls the Power Unit and optimizes its operation fully and automatically. Optionally, a Flow Master can supplement the XRGI® plant and optimize heat and power generation.

  • Additionally, a storage tank compensates for time differences between XRGI® heat production and heat consumption in the building.

EC Power offers a micro-combined heat and power (mCHP) system with a piston engine. It is a device that generates electricity and heat at the same time for residential or light commercial buildings. The engine used in these systems is often an opposed-piston engine.

Gas Fired Absorption Heat Pumps
Advantages for Breweries and Distilleries

GAHP's combine all the advantages of the two most common heating technologies!

  • Robur Gas Absorption Heat Pumps use natural gas as the primary energy source supplying hot water up to 140°F.

  • Suitable for heating systems where a gas appliance is required, and provides system efficiencies of 129+%.

  • These units are ideal for full-load heating needs, or for raising the average efficiency of a traditional boiler system.

Condensing boiler advantages

  • Environmentally friendly using natural gas

  • Domestic HW supply

  • Only 1/10 of electricity consumption compared to electrical heat pumps

  • Ideal integration into existing or new installations

  • High reliability

  • Easy maintenance

  • No use of harmful refrigerants

Electric heat pump advantages

  • Use of renewable energies

  • Cooling supply

  • No need of mechanical room

Advantages using Robur GAHP

Compared to condensing boiler systems the Robur units can increase overall average process heating efficiencies

Brain Teasers

It’s a Murder Mystery!

A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got the following alibis:

  • The wife said she was sleeping.

  • The cook said he was cooking breakfast.

  • The gardener said he was planting seeds.

  • The maid said she was getting the mail.

  • The butler said he was polishing the silverware.

The police arrested the murderer immediately. Who was it?

The Pink House

In a one-story pink house, there was a pink person, a pink cat, a pink fish, a pink computer, a pink chair, a pink table, a pink phone, a pink shower – everything was pink! What color were the stairs?

This is the best healthy apple crisp recipe that's naturally sweetened with maple syrup instead of sugar and topped with a crunchy oat pecan topping. Serve this delicious apple crisp warm with vanilla bean ice cream. The perfect way to use up fall apples!

Apple Crisp

Ingredients

For the topping:

  • 1/3 cup whole wheat pastry flour (or regular flour or gluten free oat flour or almond flour)

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats, gluten free if desired

  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar (can also sub coconut sugar but brown sugar is best)

  • 1/2 cup raw chopped pecans

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup cold butter or vegan buttery stick, cut into very small cubes (can also use coconut oil)

For the crisp:

  • 5-6 medium Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and very thinly sliced

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • pinch of nutmeg

  • 1 tablespoon bourbon (or pure vanilla extract)

Boil aug 24 recipe.png

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350˚ F. Generously grease an 8x8 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

  • To make the topping: Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pecans in a large bowl until well-combined. Add in the pieces of butter and use your hands to squeeze and combine until the mixture becomes crumbly and resembles wet sand. (Alternatively, you can cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or place all the topping ingredients in a food processor and pulse until just blended. My favorite method is to use my hands, as I believe you get the best crumbly topping that way.)

  • Once finished, place topping in the fridge and begin making the apple filling.

  • To make the filling: Place apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and bourbon (or vanilla) in a large bowl and toss to combine. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes.

  • Take 1/3 cup of the topping mixture and toss with the apple mixture. Place the apple mixture in prepared pan and sprinkle evenly with topping.

  • Bake the crisp on a baking sheet (just in case the filling bubbles over!) for 45-55 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbling. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes on wire rack. Serve warm with your favorite vanilla ice cream. Makes 9 servings.
